INSTRUCTIONS FOR TREATMENT WITH CARAC

Every evening , after gently washing, rub the Carac
® on to the areas recommended by Dr. Gaul,
at least two hours before bedtime. Avoid contact with eyes, nostrils and mouth. Wash your hands as soon as you have finished applying the Carac
® Cream. Do this every night for as long as instructed by Dr. Gaul, usually 21 days.  Each morning, after washing, apply Vanicream® SPF 15 sunscreen liberally to these areas.

Every morning:
1. Wash all the areas with a gentle cleanser like Vanicream
® cleanser.

2. Apply the sunscreen Dr. Gaul recommended that contains zinc oxide,  Blue Lizard
® for sensitive skin or Vanicream® SPF 15 sunscreen liberally to these areas. The zinc oxide paste will help the areas heal and hurt less.  Squeeze the sunscreen into your hands and rub them together, then pat the sunscreen on to your treatment areas- it will spread more easily.

3. Avoid sunlight as much as possible. Wear a hat and sunglasses.

Every Evening - At least two hours before bedtime:
1. Wash all the areas with a gentle cleanser like Vanicream
® cleanser

2. Apply Carac
® cream.

Men -- You may shave "carefully" if you do not have thick crusting scabs. Shaving may cause additional discomfort and possible bleeding.

Women - Wearing makeup to cover the redness will not deactivate the Carac
® but it may sting and look worse if the areas are flaking.

The Blue Lizard
® and Vanicream® SPF15 sunscreen and the gentle cleanser can be purchased at DermUs (712) 262-2280

Hint: Continue using the sunscreen even after Carac
® treatment! Prevention is the best medicine.
